Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Islamophobia at OIC-CFM 39


An excerpt from a statement by Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the Thirty-Ninth Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC Member States Date: 15/11/2012 -

Islamophobia remains a source of great concern for us. We have, at the OIC, exerted considerable and dedicated efforts to combat this phenomenon whose pace has increased recently as shown in the reports of the OIC Islamophobia Observatory, the last of which is the fifth report submitted to you. We have raised this issue with political and religious elites we have met in different parts of the world, underscoring its dangerous impacts on the prevalence of international peace and security. 

Thanks to these efforts, we managed to convince the UN Human Rights Council, consistent with the eight points I proposed, to adopt the consensual resolution 16/18 which includes a genuine condemnation of the defamation of religions and discrimination against people on religious grounds. Paragraph 6 of the resolution provides for the adoption of measures to criminalize incitement to violence based on religion or belief. The UN General Assembly adopted the resolution by consensus under number 66/167. 

To enhance the chances of these two resolutions being implemented on the ground, I put forward 'the Istanbul process' initiative in July 2011 which reaffirms the two resolutions, followed by a similar initiative in Washington in December of the same year. A third initiative will follow in England in the name of the European Union in December this year. Meanwhile, we are still struggling to overcome the obstacles preventing the actual implementation of these initiatives. The adoption of these two consensual resolutions by the UN Human Rights Council and the General Assembly respectively is indeed a positive development that gives us the opportunity to concentrate on important issues away from politicization and polarization. It also gives us the opportunity to introduce the 'Istanbul Process'. I am convinced that the confidence-building efforts exerted in the 'Istanbul Process' meeting and approved by international and regional stakeholders will pave the way for increased confidence and cooperation between all parties. 

After the launch of the defamatory film 'Innocence of Muslims' which insults Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and the subsequent disorders which caused many deaths including the killing of the US Ambassador in Libya, I condemned in the strongest terms the film, the killing of US officials and the attack on the US Embassy in Cairo, insisting that the expression of anger and condemnation should not be through killing or the destruction of property. Moreover, we issued a joint statement with the European Union, the League of Arab States and the African Union denouncing strongly the perpetrators of these crimes.

 

Islamophobia

    Phobia implies an irrational fear or loathing. Exactly what is irrational about fearing a war cult which has sent an estimated 270*106  people to early graves?  Exactly what is irrational about loathing  a war cult whose doctrine declares perpetual war against us, denies the sanctity of our lives & property, denies our human rights and imposes the death penalty on us because we do not join it? 


peace and security

    International peace & security are not threatened by fear & loathing of Islam. Peace and security are not negatively impacted by factual exposure of the damnable doctrines & practices of Islam. Peace and security  are threatened by the damnable doctrines of Islam and the efforts of Muslims to implement those doctrines.

    Muslims riot and raise Hell because of their arrogance, supremacism & triumphalism; roused by the rabid rants of their Imams at Jumah Salat, not because of anything we utter and publish.  Take a fresh, close look at FITNA and what Ban Ki-moon said about it.  The movie is not hate speech neither is it incitement, it is an exposure of hate speech and incitement.

Reuters quotes U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon about Fitna:"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence," Ban said in a statement. "The right of free expression is not at stake here."

    Elimination of the defamation meme from the most recent UN resolutions was the critical selling point that facilitated their passage by acclamation.  If the defamation provisions had remained in the resolutions, tere would have been votes, many of them against the resolutions.  

    Take a fresh, close look at how human rights NGOs praised and celebrated the new resolutions and how I condemned them.  My analysis is confirmed, Article 19 & Human Rights First are shown to be willing victims of al-Taqiyya. 

    Previous resolutions complained bitterly about associating Islam with terrorism:

    Is terrorism intrinsic to Islam or is it not?  Was Moe a bastard? Neither hadith nor Sira indicate that, is it really important? His paternity has been a subject of scholarly speculation.  He did claim, in one hadith, to be Christ's paternal half brother. 

    Did Moe hide under his wife's skirt? Yes, he did, its in the Sira.  Did her cousin fake the Qur'an? I doubt it, I find no evidence for it, but the bit about the gap in revelations is in the Sira. 

    Did Moe converse with a donkey? It is in an obscure book by Ibn kathir and it is found in the Encyclopedia of Canonical Hadith.

    Was Moe a lecher? Did he put words in the idol's mouth to sanction it? Yes, its in the hadith.   Was Moe an extortioner? Yes, his extortion letters are on record.  Did he marry a six year old girl?  Yes, its in the hadith and Sira.

    Did he have an old lady murdered? Yes, its in the Sira.  Did he have Kinnana tortured to death? Yes, but not exactly as depicted.  Its in the Sira. 

    Did he do it with Miriam in Hafsa's bed?  Yes, its in the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.  Was Moe queer? Did he jigger his camels? I don't know, I did not see it in the movie and I did not find it in the books.  I bring that up because I found another analysis of the trailer to which I have added links. It is included  immediately below.   I find that, on the whole, the trailer is not false and defamatory, its major conceptual content is true.

The Innocent Prophet

    Imran Firasat's upcoming video is sure to outrage Muslims. Here is the trailer. Note: Firasat has juxtaposed Chapter & Verse. [Big deal.] The military intelligence offices of the U.S. & Canadian governments have been seeking information about this video, presumably because they expect it to influence enemy activity against our forces in the field. 

    They should learn tha fatal facts of Islam herein referenced and wise up to the fact that Islamic violence is doctrine driven, not grievance driven. 

    Did the Almighty Creator select as his final Prophet and Messenger an unrepentant pederast, lecher, false prophet, murderer and genocidal warlord?  Or is Islam the world's most successful con game? 

    If Moe was a false prophet and Islam is a con game; a continuing criminal enterprise guilty of war crimes against humanity, then why in Hell should warning the world about it be a criminal offense? 

    If Moe was a true Prophet, Allah is the Almighty Creator and Islam is true, a perfect religion innocent of offensive, genocidal & terrorist conquest then post proof in a comment: refute each and every fatal fact presented and documented below the horizontal line.  Good luck with that.

Ahmed Rehab Lies About AFDI Advertisement and Jihad

 Walid Shoebat embedded a brief WGN interview in which the al-taqiyya flows smoothly at a rapid pace. 

In any war between the civilized man and the savage support the civilized man.  Support Israel. Defeat Jihad.


When you say "defeat Jihad", Jihad being a central tenet of the Islamic  faith she's essentially saying " defeat all Muslims": defeat my kid, defeat my grandmother, defeat my neighbors, its a silly ad, its a racist ad in that sense, its incredibly misinformed.  Jihad for us is daily struggle against odds; against barriers, it is going to school, paying your tuition, paying your taxes, having two jobs to raise your kids; whatever it is that people go through, the  daily struggles in orderto come on top against the barriers, that's what Jihad is.


    Ahmed Rehab took a key word out of context and twisted it into a  pretzel.  The context of the bus advertisement is the Islamic reconquest of Israel: low intensity asymmetrical warfare carried out with suicide bombs, knives, axes, rifles, stones and unguided missiles. The reconquest operates by intimidation and piecemeal genocide.  Recently the intensity has increased, with hundreds of rockets launched over the border towards civilian residences and infrastructure. 

    If the murder of the Fogel family ain't a prime example of savagery, what would be?  In contrast, Israel uses guided missiles for precise attacks on identified targets. It is not Israel's fault that those targets are placed in densely populated areas for maximum propaganda value. 

    Rehab wants us to believe that Jihad means the daily struggle to survive and thrive, overcoming obstacles and barriers.  But that is not the context of AFDI's advertiosement. A Google search for Jihad turned up this:

    A visit to Islam Awakened turns up 42 parallel translations of which Hilali & Khan is the only translation to use Jihad,. The others use  fighting, killing or warfare. 
   A visit to Corpus Qur'an turns up the Arabic word used in the original text.

Clicking the key word brings up a list of 180 occurrences of variants of qital in the Qur'an.  Examine a few specimens.

    Those three verses contain the primary Jihad imperatives in the Qur'an.  Many others contain one variant or another of "strive hard and fight", examine these.

  • 9:41. March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allâh. This is better for you, if you but knew.

  • 9:86. And when a Sûrah (chapter from the Qur'ân) is revealed, enjoining them to believe in Allâh and to strive hard and fight along with His Messenger, the wealthy among them ask your leave to exempt them (from Jihâd) and say, "Leave us (behind), we would be with those who sit (at home)."

Allah's cause  

    What is his cause? One hadith has the answer for us: it is to make Islam dominate the world. 

holy fighting


    What is it? What makes war holy?  The intention of pleasing Allah; fighting to make Islam dominate the word, not for fame, fortune or glory is the essential element.  I would slog through a great deal of text to find the primary reference, so just take my word for it.  Fighting in Allah's Cause is the essential element. 

    This question may also be answered by negative example: what profanes a holy war? The answer is found in another hadith:  embezzling the spoils, killing children and mutilating bodies.  The latter was taboo, the former two examples are equal because captive children were sold into slavery, property for Muslims.Breaking your pledge means fleeing in the face of the enemy. 

  • Sahih Muslim Muslim Book 019, Number 4294:
        It has been reported from Sulaiman b. Buraid through his father that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) appointed anyone as leader of an army or detachment he would especially exhort him to fear Allah and to be good to the Muslims who were with him. He would say: Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children. ...

 

Jihad

    Technically, the word means striving, struggle and extreme exertion.  But the legal definition is provided by Reliance of the Traveller, Book O9.1: warfare against  infidels.  [Emphasis and links added.]

  • O9.0: Jihad

    (O: Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is spiritual warfare against the lower self (nafs), which is why the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said as he was returning from jihad.

    ``We have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad.''

    The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b7) is such Koranic verses as:

    -1- ``Fighting is prescribed for you'' (Koran 2:216);

    -2- ``Slay them wherever you find them'' (Koran 4:89);

    -3- ``Fight the idolators utterly'' (Koran 9:36);

    and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

    ``I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah'';

    and the hadith reported by Muslim,

    ``To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world and everything in it.''Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he dispatched others. The former consist of the ones he personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand, Ubayy ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent others to fight, himself remaining at Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

    The expression in the advertisement was "defeat Jihad". The word "Muslims" does not appear in the adv. copy.    It calls for the defeat of Muslims waging war against civilized people. Are your kid, grand mother and neighbor engaged in war against Israel?

    Why does Islam's scripture contain a chapter whose title means "Spoils of War" and another commanding repentance for not joining the ghazwat on Tabuk?  Why did Moe say that he was "commanded to fight the people until"?

its hump?” I said, ‘Certainly, O Messenger of Allah (SAW) .” He said, “Its head is Islam, its

        Jihad is the highest peak of Islam, its most important doctrine.

    The advertisement was uttered and published to counter an advertisement which demanded cutting off all aid to Israel. Advocati8ng  the defense of innocent people under genocidal attack and defeati of savages thus engaged is not silly.  if it was not serious, you CAIR would not be bitching about it.

    What race is Islam?  Rehab is an arab, Dougie Hooper is Caucasian; are they members of the same race as Siraj Wahhaj??  A member of any race can 'revert', becoming a Muslim, does he then change his race from Caucasian or Black to Muslim? 

    Where is race mentioned in the advertisement?  Is savage a race?  Are Arabs savages?

misinformed

    The ignorant fools who believe Rehab's al-taqiyya are misinformed.  Those of us who have read the Qur'an & authentic hadith collections  and delved into Shari'ah are informed so that we are able to recognize and refute the spew of lies coming from Muslims.

Israel Should Make This Battle The Last

. My friend J.C. proposes a one bullet solution: lining up Ahmadinejad & Assad for a head shot.  While that would be emotionally satisfying, it would not solve the problem. 

    Islamic hatred & reconquest of Israel is not driven by personalities, aspiration to statehood or grievances.  Islamic hatred & reconquest of Israel is driven by the accursed doctrines of Islam enshrined in the Qur'an and exemplified in hadith.   The concept of Wala wal Barah applies: "love and hate for the sake of Allah". Muslims are to love what Allah loves and hate what Allah hates.  Allah hates Jews and curses them.  Allah plans to burn them in Hell. Allah will continually send someone to torment and humiliate Jews until the last day.  Who will he send?   The gates of Allah's celestial bordello will not swing open to admit Muslims until they exterminate the Jews. 

    Moe declared that he wanted to expel the local Jews from the Hijaz. He arrogantly claimed ownership of the earth.  He expressed a preference for conquering Israel ahead of Yemen , saying that Allah had, on his account, taken a special interest in the Jews.

    Allah promised the Muslims that they could defeat a military force twice their number yet, in five tries, the Muslims, vastly outnumbering the Jews, were defeated.  Allah promised the Muslims that their conquests are irreversible, but Israel has recovered some  territory.  Israel's existence is the ultimate blasphemy: it proves that Allah is an impotent idol whose promises are vain.  Because of this fatal fact, it is impossible that any negotiations, concessions or good will gestures  will appease the Muslims and bring peace and security to the Levant.  The rocket attacks will come to a permanent end when there are no living Muslims within rocket range, not before.

    Israel must make a full and permanent end of the occupation of her territory by Muslims.   Gaza must be purged, annexed and permanently settled by Jews.
Contumacious demands for restraint, cease fire & surrender must be rejected. Israel must defy the immoral & unethical demands of  UN, E.U. & U.S. and secure her own people from attack.    

    Two states are not a solution. One state, Israel alone with no Muslims nearby is the solution; the only solution.

So, if anyone amongst you owns some property, he is permitted to sell it, otherwise you should know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle."

        The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: It will turn out that you will be armed troops, one is Syria, one in the Yemen and one in Iraq. Ibn Hawalah said: Choose for me, Apostle of Allah, if I reach that time. He replied: Go to Syria, for it is Allah's chosen land, to which his best servants will be gathered but if you are unwilling, go to your Yemen, and draw water from your tanks, for Allah has on my account taken special charge of Syria and its people.

  • Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6985:
    Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.

The Innocent Prophet?

Update:



A new post takes advantage of questions propounded by Imran Firasat in the trailer for The Innocent Prophet  and by Rev. Terry Jones in advance publicity for International Judge Muhammad Day to anticipate the content of the documentary. 

    The new post attempts to answer those questions with citations to the King James Translation of the Bible and authentic  Islamic texts, with links to those texts with the exception of Tabari's History. 

The author hopes that the new post will serve over the long term to document the documentary so that viewers can easily verify the most important information presented.   The author expects that the  new post will serve to confirm the veracity of The Innocent Prophet.

The Innocent Prophet? From Bare Naked Islam comes word of the release of the official trailer for "The Innocent Prophet".  None can match the inside knowledge and intense passion of an apostate.  Imran Firasat has the knowledge and the passion, both are on display in this trailer.  I find only one glitch in the trailer: Chapter & Verse are transposed in the Qur'an displays.  I expect that minor error will be corrected in the final release due in December. 
    While the children may fight over it, Imran is preparing to give the world a great Christmas present. It is impossible to properly express my gratitude.  By producing this video in an E.U. member state with a growing Muslim population, Imran risks his life and his liberty for the inestimable value of human life & liberty.

  • Verses of peace
    • 4:57. But those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do deeds of righteousness, We shall admit them to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), abiding therein forever. Therein they shall have Azwâjun Mutahharatun [purified mates or wives (having no menses, stools, urine, etc.)] and We shall admit them to shades wide and ever deepening (Paradise) .
    • 5:32. Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allâh by committing the major sins) in the land!.
    • 49:10. The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islâmic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allâh, that you may receive mercy.
    • 19:96. Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger (Muhammad )] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Beneficent (Allâh) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers).
  • Verses of violence
    • 4:56. Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allâh is Ever Most Powerful, All­Wise.
    • 2:191. And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah is worse than killing. And fight not with them at Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (the sanctuary at Makkah), unless they (first) fight you there. But if they attack you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.
    • 9:5. Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islâmic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikûn (see V.2:105) wherever you find them, andcapture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât, then leave their way free. Verily, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
    • 2:216. Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.

Believers

    Who are those who believe? What is special about them?  Two verses hold the answers for us. Believers are those who sold their souls to Allah in return for admission to his celestial bordello; who fight in his cause, which is to make Islam dominate the world. 
  • 9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success . 
  • 49:15. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allâh and His Messenger, and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allâh. Those! They are the truthful.

deeds of righteousness

    Charity, Saum, Salat, filial piety & kindness are in the usual litany of good deeds. There is something else that applies in the current context, and it ain't so benign.  Any act intended to injure, enrage or terrorize disbelievers is imputed to the believer who performs it as a righteous good deed. 
  • 9:120. It was not becoming of the people of Al-Madinah and the bedouins of the neighbourhood to remain behind Allâh's Messenger (Muhammad  when fighting in Allâh's Cause) and (it was not becoming of them) to prefer their own lives to his life. That is because they suffer neither thirst nor fatigue, nor hunger in the Cause of Allâh, nor they take any step to raise the anger of disbelievers nor inflict any injury upon an enemy but is written to their credit as a deed of righteousness. Surely, Allâh wastes not the reward of the Muhsinûn
On Judgment Day, Allah will weigh your sins against your good deeds. The swing of the balance determines where you will spend eternity.  The more your good deeds outweigh your sins, the closer you get to Al-Firdhaos, the highest level of Paradise. Terrorism is on the good side of the balance. 

killing innocent persons

    Taking innocent life is proscribed in 5:32.  The ignorant kuffar is to believe that he is home free because he has not killed anyone, committed adultery or spread mischief in the land, he must be innocent and thus sacrosanct.  Nothing could be further from the true meaning of the verse. To comprehend it, we meed both context and scholarly exegesis. The next verse adds another expression: "wage war against Allah and his Messenger", which is not defined in the verse. It is defined by Tafsir Ibn kathir.  It includes disbelief, contradiction & opposition .  If you do not believe in Allah, you are in rebellion against him and subject to execution. 
  • 5:33. The recompense of those who wage war against Allâh and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter. 
    Disbelief is a status offense punishable by death.  People with scriptural religions may pay a punitive tax called jizya as a substitute for destruction.  This subject is discussed explicitly in the handbook of Hanifi fiqh: Hedaya, Volume II, Title IX, page 217 & page 218.  That is Islamic law as it was practiced in India.

burning disbelievers

    It is Allah, not the Muslims proposing to burn us, after the Muslims kill us in jihad. 
  • 3:12. Say (O Muhammad ) to those who disbelieve: "You will be defeated and gathered together to Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest.".
  • 9:14. Fight against them so that Allâh will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people, 

kill them wherever you find them

    Al-Baqarah 191 & At-Taubah 5 refer to the conquest of Mekkah, ostensibly motivated by being driven out to exile in Medina. Yoel Natan lists 164 jihad verses. I prefer to cite the three primary jihad imperatives which command perpetual aggression, the hadith which confirm them, and their codification in Shari'ah.
  • 8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do. 
  • 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

    Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."
  • Sunan Abu Dawud Book 14, Number 2526

        Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
        The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; andjihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree.
  • Sunan Abu Dawud  Book 23, Number 3455:
    Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
    I heard the Apostle of Allah, (peace_be_upon_him) say: When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

    In the time of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) jihad was a communal obligation after his emigration (hijra) to Medina. As for subsequent times, there are two possible states in respect to non-Muslims.
    The first is when they are in their own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a communal obligation, and this is what our author is speaking of when he says, "Jihad is a communal obligation," meaning upon the Muslims each year...

Jihad is ordained

    Jihad is an obligation binding on all able bodied adult male Muslims who are free and sane.  Offensive jihad is a communal obligation discharged when a sufficient number have reported to the front. 

good for you

        Either you come home with booty or you gain instant admission to Allah's celestial bordello. 

    But Muslims don't believe or do that

        Then they are going to Hell. 
    • 2:85. After this, it is you who kill one another and drive out a party of you from their homes, assist (their enemies) against them, in sin and transgression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their expulsion was forbidden to you. Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous torment. And Allâh is not unaware of what you do. 
    • 9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.
      9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allâh is Able to do all things.

      Narrated AbuUmamah:
      The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: He who does not join the warlike expedition (jihad), or equip, or looks well after a warrior's family when he is away, will be smitten by Allah with a sudden calamity. Yazid ibn Abdu Rabbihi said in his tradition: 'before the Day of Resurrection

    child molesting

        He married Aisha when she was six years old and consummated the marriage three years later. To discover what he was doing in the intervening three years, look up "thighing".

    murder

        Moe commissioned the assassination of his critics.  The story of one such murder is in the readily available hadith, others are in Ishaq & Tabari, for those, see: List of Killings Ordered or Supported by Muhammad.

    rape

        After killing all her male relatives, Moe added Safiya to his harem.  And he gave his companions tacit permission to rape captive women. 

    genocide

        When one settlement surrendered after a long siege, Moe  had the men and adolescent boys slaughtered.
