Killer of ambassador: “We are those who have given a pledge of allegiance to Muhammad that we will carry on jihad”
In the above post at Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer makes the following statement: "The mainstream media all across the world reported everything that Altintas said as he murdered the Russian ambassador, except for that one statement. Why did they leave it out?"
The most probable answer to that is, because, that statement affirms, according to Islamic doctrine, this man was a true believer. A good Muslim.
Thus, as such, he cherishes 'amal ahl al-Medinah (the practice of the Medinans), follows their examples, utters their words.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: On the day of the battle of Ghazwat-ul-Khandaq (i.e., the battle of Trench) the Ansars used to say, “We are those who have given the Bai ‘a (pledge) to Muhammad for Jihad (i.e., holy fighting) as long as we live.”
(Sahih Al-Bukhari, Translated by: Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, Darussalam, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1997, Vol. 5, The Merits of Al-Ansars, p. 86, # 3796.)
Narrated Al-Bara: I heard the Prophet saying (or the Prophet said), “None loves the Ansars but a believer, and none hates them but a hypocrite. So Allah will love him who loves them, and He will hate him who hates them.”
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said: “The sign of Belief is to love the Ansar, and the sign of hypocrisy is to hate the Ansar.”
CHAPTER. The statement of the Prophet to the Ansar: “You are the most beloved people to me.”
Narrated Anas: The Prophet saw the women and children (of the Ansar) coming forward…. The Prophet stood up and said thrice, “By Allah! You are from the most beloved people to me.”
Narrataed Abu Hamza, a man from the Ansar: The Ansar said, “Every nation has followers and (O Prophet) we have followed you, so invoke Allah to let our followers be considered from us (as Ansar like ourselves).” So the Prophet said, “O Allah! Let their followers be considered as Ansar like themselves.”
