McChrystal's Counterfit COIN

I read Rolling Stone's article about General McChrystal. I found it to be excessively laden with obscenity and judged it to be a trap and setup job. Gen. McChrystal should be intelligent enough to avoid such traps. He wasn't; he's gone. Big deal. We are still wasting blood and treasure. We are still losing.

COIN is a fool's errand. Since the Vietnam conflict, this nation, mesmerized by the idiot box's 15 minute segments, with all problems solved within an hour, has lost patience for long and bloody wars. The enemy is taking advantage of that weakness, banking on it. By setting an irrational deadline, President Obama is falling into their trap.

Building a viable government in Afghanistan would take many decades. We don't have decades. Whatever infrastructure we build will soon be destroyed. Our progress is always reversible.

From Vietnam we should have learned that it is necessary to seize, hold and secure territory. We should have learned that the enemy must not be allowed sanctuary. We should have learned the necessity of cutting off the enemy's supply lines.

From Somalia we should have learned the necessity of giving our forces sufficient manpower and equipment; sufficient air & artillery support to accomplish the mission.

From Vietnam, Korea, Somalia & Iraq we should have learned that wars are fought to be won, not stalemated. The lesson: no more half-assed minimalist wars. We should also have learned the necessity of excluding mass media from the theater of war. We lost Vietnam in the streets and on t.v.

Unfortunately, we keep electing leaders who are not intelligent enough to learn from history and apply its lessons. But the worst mistake is failure to identify and accurately describe the enemy, learn his tactics & strategy, strengths & weaknesses and create tactics for taking advantage of that knowledge.

Two Damned Fools

G.W.Bush

September 19' 06, WCBS Radio quoted Shrub's speech to the General Assembly. [Emphasis added for clarity.]

``Extremists in your midst spread propaganda claiming that the West is engaged in a war against Islam. This propaganda is false and its purpose is to confuse you and justify acts of terror. We respect Islam.''

August 19, '07 Fox News quoted Shrub's speech to the American Legion convention.

"Bush said long-term solutions for confronting terrorist groups and their state sponsors include "advancing freedom and liberty as the alternatives to the ideologies of hatred and repression," seeking to install secure, democratic states "that are at peace with one another, that are participating in the global markets and that are partners in this fight against the extremists and radicals" and drying up "the stream of recruits" for Al Qaeda and other terror networks."

B.H. Obama

April 06 ' 09 msnbc quoted Obama's speech at Cairo.

"Barack Obama, making his first visit to a Muslim nation as president, declared Monday the United States “is not and will never be at war with Islam.” "

Oh, we are not at war with Islam? What then? Who is at war against us?

Who are we at war with?

Between 1787 and 1815, our merchant vessels were attacked and seized, their cargo confiscated and ransoms & tribute demanded by the Barbary Pirates. When asked for an explanation, the reply was clear. This is lifted from Wikipedia.

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). Upon inquiring "concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury", the ambassador replied:

It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every Muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once. [2] [3]

The Barbary pirates were motivated by loot, and justified their plunder by Allah's writ. That should be a clue for the damned fools. When members of the magnificent nineteen slit the throats of the flight crews they pronounced takbir: "Allahu Akhbar" (Allah is greater!) If the enemy is not Islam, why is it acting in the the name of Islam's demon?

Al-Qaeda is nothing more than a name, a false front to prevent us from recognizing our enemy. Our enemy is Islam. All of the Islamic terrorist groups share one common element; what is it?

War of ideas

G.W. Bush

At Off Club, Kathleen T. Rhem quotes Shrub from a speech made April 24 '06.

"But secondly, it will be a major blow because, in the long term, the best way to defeat an ideology of hatred is with an ideology of hope."

The Washington Post, February 9, '06, quotes Shrub from another speech.

The terrorists have an ideology. They share a hateful vision that rejects tolerance and crushes all dissent, a world where women are oppressed and children are indoctrinated, and those who reject their ideology of violence and extremism are threatened and often murdered.

B.H. Obama

At NRO, James. S. Robbins quotes Obama from an al-Arabiya interview. January 28, '09.

On U.S. relations with the broader Islamic world, Obama drew clear lines between the radicals and the general Muslim community, and stated, regarding the terrorists: “Their ideas are bankrupt. There’s no actions that they’ve taken that say a child in the Muslim world is getting a better education because of them, or has better health care because of them. . . . And over time, I think the Muslim world has recognized that that path is leading no place, except more death and destruction.”

What Ideas?

Shrub & Obamination won't identify the ideas in the enemy ideology. They describe those ideas as dark, totalitarian and bankrupt, but they fail to identify them. I am about to do something the President won't do: identify the most significant ideas in the enemy ideology.

Only Allah has the right to be worshiped.

This expression occurs frequently in the Hilali & Khan translation of the Noble Qur'an. I found it in 35 of the 114 surahs. Here is one example.
2:163. And your Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God - Allâh), Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

If only Allah has the right to be worshiped, then religions other than Islam are prohibited.

Only Allah has the right to rule.

33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.

Governments not operating on the principle of Shari'ah must be overthrown and replaced by Islamic regimes.

Muslims are obligated to enforce Allah's rights.

What is the relationship between Allah and the Muslims? It is a master: slave relationship, one to many. Why does Allah need Muslims; what does he want them for? To do his wet work. Surah At-Taubah 111 makes this clear, read it and curse Islam. [Emphasis added for clarity.]

9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .

What is Allah's cause? His cause is to make Islam dominate the world. How do I know this? By Allah's word and hadith.

9:33. It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it).

.Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 65:

Narrated Abu Musa:

A man came to the Prophet and asked, "A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet said, "He who fights that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause."

In 9:111, a bargain is mentioned, what is it? The bargain is the sale of their souls to Allah. We learn more about it in Surah As-Saff. It is the commerce which saves a Muslim from the fire and assures his admission to the celestial bordello.

61:10. O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.

61:11. That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad ), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!

61:12. (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of 'Adn Eternity ['Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success.

61:13. And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allâh (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad ) to the believers.

You have seen the carrot, now its time to view the stick. For the description of Hell, turn to 56:41 and 22:19 The threat of eternal damnation is clearly implicit in At-Taubah 38-39.

9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.

9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allâh is Able to do all things.

Orders to fight

These are contained in Surah Al-Anfal & Surah At-Taubah. They are fight until loops, with neither geographic nor chronological limits.

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

The orders to fight are confirmed by Moe in this hadith.
.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."

Practical Application

For this, we turn to Maududi's Jihad In Islam. Open it to page 15.

...Islam is not merely a religious creed or a set of rituals but it is a comprehensive system that tends to annihilate all tyrannical and evil systems in the world and to enforce its own reformation programme which it deems best in the interest of mankind.

Flip one more page.

...to eliminate the hegemony of un-Islamic aystems replacing them with a balanced social and cultural order called the Word of Allah by the holy Quran,...

They will not be satisfied with reconquering Israel, Spain, Greece, etc. Their objective is total global conquest.

When Islam attacks

The religious obligation to participate in the annual attacks on disbelievers is fard al-kifaya, binding on all eligible Muslim men until a sufficient number have reported to the battlefront.

When we retaliate

The religious obligation to defend Dar al-Islam is fard ayn: binding on all eligible male Muslims, plus slaves and adolescents. If the Muslims are overrun, the fard extends to women, children, sheikhs and slaves.

A clue for you

Brig. S.K. Malik, in the Qur'anic Concept of War, uses language so plain as to be crystal clear. We must learn from this! This crucial quote is found on page 60. [Emphasis added.]

Terror cannot be struck into the hearts of an army by merely cutting its lines of communication or depriving it of its routes of withdrawal. It is basically related to the strength or weakness of the human soul. It can be instilled only if the opponent's Faith is destroyed. Psychological dislocation is temporary; spiritual dislocation is permanent. Psychological dislocation can be produced by a physical act but this docs not hold good of the
spiritual dislocation. To instill terror into the hearts of the enemy, it is essential. in the ultimate analysis, to dislocate his Faith. An invincible Faith is immune to terror. A weak Faith offers inroads to terror. The Faith conferred upon us by the Holy Qur'an has the inherent strength to ward off terror from us and to enable us to strike terror into the enemy. Whatever the form or type of strategy directed against the enemy, it must, in order to be effective, be capable of striking terror into the hearts of the enemy. A strategy that fails to attain this condition suffers from inherent drawbacks
and weaknesses; and should be reviewed and modified. This rule is fully applicable to nuclear as well as conventional wars. It is equally true of the strategy of nuclear deterrence in fashion today. To be credible and effective, the strategy of deterrence must be capable of striking terror into the hearts of the enemy.

To terrorize us, they first set out to destroy our faith. Got that clue yet? You can not defeat Muslims while they continue to believe in Allah. So long as they believe in Allah's promises and threats they can not be defeated short of annihilation. If you would win their hearts and minds, you must first emancipate them from Allah.

Go ahead, build schools, they will blow them up when you turn your back. Build roads, they will mine them. Try to protect civilians, they will blow them up wholesale. Institute idiotic rules of engagement, they will use human shields.

Wise up!

If you do not cause Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq & Pakistan to be depopulated or apostatized, they will continue to be corrupt tyrannies and state sponsors of terrorism. Your choice: smoking ruins, de-Islamized or victors. Which will it be? We suffered terrorism because we displayed weakness and lack of resolve in Somalia. Can you learn that lesson or not?

So long as Muslims continue to believe that Allah will burn them in Hell if they do not wage war against us, and will reward them with eternity in the celestial bordello if they do, we will never have peace and security. They will continue to torment us, poking and prodding for weakness. Eventually they will nuke us.

The war must be waged against Islam, and we must use the ultimate weapon: truth. We must show Muslims the reality of the character and works of their Profit. We must use Islam's canon of scripture, tradition, exegeses & jurisprudence to show Allah's slaves what he is doing to them and what they are doing to others. Those who retain a scintilla of residual morality will apostatize. We have MOABs for the recalcitrant remainder.

I think it is so great you were recently banned in Pakistan. The article went on to provide a link to your site which is so funny. That's how I got here. I completely agree with your message and am sure that your recent ban in Pakistan will do wonders for your site there. There are and always be ways to get around blocked internet sites, Pakistanis will figure it out too. Keep up your message.

Thank you for the kind words, ndfenceofobama. I believe that most of my visitors from Asia are seeking another, unrelated site: http://www.islam-esxposed.org, to which I link in the right sidebar.

Muslims hope of emancipation from Allah's yoke of slavery comes from learning his true nature by reading Islam's canon of scripture and tradition. I hope to encourage that process.

I encourage my readers to start their own blogs and begin spreading knowledge.

As an American born Muslim convert i find your site quite comical. Reading your site has done nothing but reaffirm my faith. I would like to direct you to a site which will refute everything you say.

http://www.free-minds.org/welcome

i implore you to take a look at this site as i have reviewed yours. I think that you will find that Muslims are not a homogeneous group and our thinking on such matters cannot be codified in the edicts lone state entities.

You say we should apostatize if we are moral creatures. I'm curious as to what your religion is and how willing you would be to give up your religion based on scurrilous and self-serving interpretations of your book. You have stated nothing in the way of facts merely researched opinion.

Unknown said...

where's my previous post?

Ben said...

Dear Khalid, what did you revert from, were you Christian? Why did you revert? Were you influenced by scurrilous and self serving criticisms of Christianity?

Allah's imperatives are contained in clear verses (3:7). Those imperatives do not require interpretation. Tafsir al-Jalalayn & Ibn Abbas are generally quite terse, in contrast to Ibn Kathir's tafsir, which restates the obvious.

The real key to interpretation of the Qur'an is in the extra-Qur'anic words and actions of Moe, recorded in the traditions of his companions. I refer you to the hadith collections of Bukhari, Muslim and Abu Dawud, the most authentic of the six canonical hadith collections. The books of Jihad, Khumus & Expedition tell us what we need to know.

Likewise Riyad us-Salaheen Book 11, Chapter 234.

I am not keeping close tabs on my emai, Khalid. For some reason, this computer does not give an audio alert when it receives a new one, and I am not always wearing the head set, anyway.

Unknown said...

Dear Ben,

You never answered my question, but as a courtesy I'll answer yours.

I guess you could say I was raised as a Christian. I never understood the trinity. I never understood why people prayed to Jesus and not God. Islam works for me. Christianity didn't. I made an informed decision.

Reading Quran 3:7 is quite clear. I don't need to read those other one's for clarification.

How does reading hadith better help me understand Quran? It is not obligatory for Muslims to follow hadith in order to understand the Quran. I have a brain, I can form my own interpretations.

As far as your disrespect for Islam goes, I direct you to 6:112 which states:

"and as such, We have permitted the enemies of every Prophet- human and jinn devils- to inspire each other with fancy words in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications."

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,
Jesus, YHWH and the Holy Spirit are three manifestations of the deity.

There is nothing to stop a Christian from praying directly to YHWH unless he is in a state of mortal sin.

Hadith show us what Moe meant. He said "fight them". Sahih Bukhari 1.8.387 confirms the orders to fight as do several variants.

Other hadith in the Books of Jihad, reveal what he did in obedience to those orders.

There are several books on the importance of hadith. I have not memorized their titles, any search engine will help you find them. There is an extensive list of on line librarys in the Resources post at Go Burn With Muhammad.

Have you considered the possiblility that 6:112 and 22:52 also apply to Moe?

Unknown said...

6:112 does not apply to Muhammad since he never uttered a disparaging word against any of God's prophets.

In reference to 22:52, the fact that we're here discussing the Quran lends credence to the fact that God has secured his revelation.

Hadith are second hand stories of the Prophet and since neither he nor the folks quoted in those passages were around (at the time the Hadith were codified) to vouch for their reliability I will continue view them with skepticism.

Unknown said...

God is one. Everything else is creation. The spirit and Isa are manifestations of God but they are not equal with God. They were created with a purpose just like everything else. I will not pray to creation.

Ben said...

Khalid, its all second hand. Moe claimed to get his revelations from Jibril, making them second hand. Most of the Quran was not written before he died, the compilers had to rely on hafiz for the other verses.

Then there is the little matter of Satanic verses... Al-Uzza & her sisters getting recognition when Moe was sucking up to the Mekkans.

Moe is on record disparaging Jesus Christ, denying his patrimony, deity, death & resurrection. He also co-opted Jesus as a genocidal warlord.

Doubters & dissenters may check the gritty details.

The Defamation of Jesus Christ

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,

As a Muslim, you pray to an idol. The failure of Allah's promises to his slaves brings the truth to light.

Allah promised a 2:1 kill ratio, reducing it from 10:1 after they could not cut the mustard. He also promised them victory. Israel is still there, as living proof of Allah's impotence.

Unknown said...

Ben,

What religion, belief structure, or faith do you ascribe to?

Unknown said...

Ben,

Jibril never delivered Hadith which you claim is so vital to Islam.

Most of the Quran was not written before the death of the Prophet? And you know this how exactly?

What satanic verses? Where is your evidence?

Muhammad never disparaged Christ. That site you posted is so wrong. A little research will reveal that what's quoted on that site as being false and misleading.

In reference to that site:
3:61 Wrong- IDK what verse that is but it's not 3:61
4:159 Wrong- same as the last one
19:30- Servant is translated as slave- intentionally misleading translations

and on and on and on...

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,

I am Christian, professing but not active due to the political attitudes and activities of the denomination to which I belonged.

Unknown said...

Ben,

No, I pray to God, the One, the only.
I do not pray to idols. Intention lies in the heart. God knows my intentions as well as yours. You have proven yourself to be quite deceitful. You regurgitate falsehoods and present them as facts as a means to bolster your preconceived notions. But I see through your lies. You have proven yourself to be the worst of the worst. I seek guidance and understanding from God not from some sheik, or imam, or mullah, or whomever.

You say Allah's promise has failed? To what are you referring?

Who did he promise victory to? To what conflict are you referring?

You say "Israel is still there, as living proof of Allah's impotence."

What are you talking about? Where in Quran does God say he wants Israel gone?

Present your evidence if you are truthful. And please don't tell me to go read so and so, or whomever, as they are not authorities in my eyes as I have given no authority to them over me regarding my religion. The Quran has been my criterion in this debate, what is yours?

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,

Each of the Qur'an quotes in The Defamation of Jesus Christ is linked to source.

3:61 links to a table of ten parallel translations. I quoted the translation by Hilali & Khan, which is in the third row of the table.

The clause which I emphasiszed was inserted parenthetically by the translators, it is taken from one of the tafsir they used in compiling their translation.

Anyone doubting the meaning of any of those ayat can look them up by Surah:Ayeh # at http://www.qtafsir.com/

Hilali & Khan and Pickthall use "slave" as dos the literal translation at Open Burhan.

When I clicked on the Arabic word, the result at Qur'anic Arabian Corpus; U. Leeds was: "(19:30:3)
a slave
ʿabdu".

You need something more than blind faith, Khalid, you need relevant, verifiable facts to prove me wrong.

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,
Due to the length of one of your comments, I used it to create a new post: Answering Khalid

Unknown said...

you say I need verifiable facts yet you state in more than one of you answers to me

"No, I made accurate statements of opinion..."

and

"I state my own opinion..."

where are your FACTS?

Ibn Kathir was born in 1302 AD, the Prophet was born in 570 AD. I doubt he was an expert. His Tafsir is HIS interpretation, not concrete fact

Ben said...

Dear Khalid,

Facts trump opinions and guesses. My facts are in Islam's canon of scripture, tradition, exegesis & jurisprudence. I have a habit of citing and linking diectly to them where possible.

Exegesis is performed by comparing parallel ayat & ahadith. Look up Ibn Kathir's biography. He spent his entire adult life studying and teaching Islam. He became a hafiz at an early age. His tafsir is the most widely accepted as authentic.
